Today is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! We would like to say a BIG BLUE DEVIL THANK YOU to Officer Stankus for all he does for our school and school district as a whole. SROs are carefully selected, specifically trained, sworn law enforcement officers assigned by an employing law enforcement agency to work with schools using community-oriented policing concepts. The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession. They are valuable and essential members of the education community who deserve unwavering respect and support from the public in the pursuit of keeping schools and students safe. 💙

On Tuesday, February 6th, Peotone Schools will be welcoming musician, YouTuber, and motivational speaker, George Moss. Mr. Moss will be stopping by to speak to our 3rd-12th grade students about resiliency through trying times, knowing others are here to help, and finding your purpose. That day, there will be three separate sessions for 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Moss next week on Tuesday!
Tonight (1/29) Peotone High School and Reed-Custer High School Girls' Basketball teams would like to donate the funds raised during the annual PHS Pack The Place in memory of Momence Girls' Basketball Player, Amari Crite. All funds from the half-time games and any monetary donations will go to Amari's family. JV game begins at 5:30 ~ Varsity game begins at 6:45.

Seniors: If you are planning to continue your education by going to a college, university, trade school, or even the military. You are eligible to apply for local scholarships! There are 2 Scholarships that have opened as of Dec. 1st! (There will be more local scholarships available Feb. 7th) Don't wait to apply for these scholarships and miss out on the opportunity to help fund your post-high school education. Keep in mind these deadlines are firm. Late applications will not be accepted. Information has been sent to seniors via email. See Mrs. Derkacy in Student Services with any questions. The last day for students prior to Winter Break will be Thursday, December 21st. On this day, the Peotone Early Education will not be in session; however, all other buildings will operate on a Common Plan Schedule.

Due to a planned COMED outage, phone and internet services will be down at the District Office, Transportation Department, and PJHS. We anticipate that these services will be down from 9:00am-2:00pm. In case of an emergency, please contact the PHS Main Office at 708-258-3236.
