"We would like to welcome everyone to the first Peotone Fine Arts Festival this Saturday, May 4th. Opening at 9am, there will be a theatre production of David Ives All in the Timing, Live Music, Art Show, and Live Art Demonstrations. There is a $10 fee to enter the Festival but you are welcome to leave and come back! The fee covers everything! There are only 40 seats per show of All in the Timing so, if you are interested in reserving tickets please reach out to Mr. Diaz at sdiaz@peotoneschools.org. Juniors & Seniors: JJC Chef for a Day field trip is on April 25th and is a great opportunity for students interested in the culinary arts and hospitality field. The field trip leaves at 8:30 and returns approximately 2:00. Sign up on the Google Form that was sent to your student email on 4/15 & get your field trip form and pre-excused absence form in the Student Services Department. Space is limited and preference will be given to students who have not attended this amazing opportunity previously. Any questions see your School Counselor. You are responsible for any missed assignments and having your pre-excused absence request form completed. Field trip & pre-excused absence forms are due back signed by 4/19.

CONGRATULATIONS KOLTEN KOEHN! 💙 PEOTONE HIGH SCHOOL APRIL 2024 BOARD OF EDUCATION ACADEMIC STUDENT OF THE MONTH It is an honor to recognize and bring before the Board, April’s Board of Education Academic Student of the Month, Kolten Koehn. Kolten is the son of Kevin and Jenny Koehn of Peotone and is currently a freshman at Peotone High School with a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 grading scale. At Peotone High School, Kolten is on PHS' Football and Basketball teams and is also involved in FFA. He is part of the FFA’s Code of Conduct Team that recently qualified as a top 10 team in the state and they are headed to the State Competition in May. Outside of high school, Kolten works at Game-On and works with his father as a bricklayer. In his spare time, Kolten likes to spend time with friends. After graduating from high school, Kolten would like to attend college or trade school.

CHANGE OF DATE! The PHS College Planning Night is now on April 10th at 6:00pm. The Student Services Department will host a "College Planning" presentation in the Media Center on Wednesday, April 10th at 6:00pm. An admissions representative from Joliet Junior College and a financial aid specialist from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be presenting important information. This presentation is for those students thinking about attending a two or four year college/university. Families are encouraged to attend this free event.
