ACADEMIC STUDENT OF THE MONTH
It is an honor to recognize and bring before the Board, April’s Board of Education Academic Student of the Month, Kolten Koehn. Kolten is the son of Kevin and Jenny Koehn of Peotone and is currently a freshman at Peotone High School with a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 grading scale. At Peotone High School, Kolten is on PHS' Football and Basketball teams and is also involved in FFA. He is part of the FFA’s Code of Conduct Team that recently qualified as a top 10 team in the state and they are headed to the State Competition in May. Outside of high school, Kolten works at Game-On and works with his father as a bricklayer. In his spare time, Kolten likes to spend time with friends. After graduating from high school, Kolten would like to attend college or trade school.


Student Council is hosting a Bags Tournament on Wednesday, April 24th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the PHS Gym. All high school students are welcome to participate! Grab a partner and come play! The winning team will receive a gift card of their choosing. Cost: &5 per team. See Mr. Robinson with questions.


All Peotone District and School Offices will be closed on Friday, March 29th, and Monday, April 1st. We hope you all have a great Spring Break!


The PHS Student Council is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive at Peotone High School on Wednesday, April 10th from 1:00 - 6:00 pm. Sign up using the link below. CHANGE OF DATE! The PHS College Planning Night is now on April 10th at 6:00pm. The Student Services Department will host a "College Planning" presentation in the Media Center on Wednesday, April 10th at 6:00pm. An admissions representative from Joliet Junior College and a financial aid specialist from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be presenting important information. This presentation is for those students thinking about attending a two or four year college/university. Families are encouraged to attend this free event.


Congratulations to our PHS Scholastic Bowl Team on winning the Illinois Central Eight Conference Scholastic Bowl Tournament!


The PHS Student Council will be hosting a 3 v. 3 basketball tournament and 3 point contest for any interested PHS Students on Monday, March 11th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm in the PHS Gym! Presidents Day ~ February 19th ~ No School


Today is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! We would like to say a BIG BLUE DEVIL THANK YOU to Officer Stankus for all he does for our school and school district as a whole. SROs are carefully selected, specifically trained, sworn law enforcement officers assigned by an employing law enforcement agency to work with schools using community-oriented policing concepts. The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession. They are valuable and essential members of the education community who deserve unwavering respect and support from the public in the pursuit of keeping schools and students safe. 💙

Tonight (1/29) Peotone High School and Reed-Custer High School Girls' Basketball teams would like to donate the funds raised during the annual PHS Pack The Place in memory of Momence Girls' Basketball Player, Amari Crite. All funds from the half-time games and any monetary donations will go to Amari's family. JV game begins at 5:30 ~ Varsity game begins at 6:45.


On Tuesday, February 6th, Peotone Schools will be welcoming musician, YouTuber, and motivational speaker, George Moss. Mr. Moss will be stopping by to speak to our 3rd-12th grade students about resiliency through trying times, knowing others are here to help, and finding your purpose. That day, there will be three separate sessions for 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Moss next week on Tuesday!
