Peotone High School would like to thank the Peotone Community Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Sponsors who have provided generous scholarships to our students over the past 30 years! PHS would also like to thank the Peotone Community Dollars for Scholars board members as they have gone above and beyond for the benefit of our students and community. Please see the speech that was read by Mrs. Tammy Hoffman at the PHS Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremony!
On behalf of the Peotone Community Scholarship Association Chris Bowden and I (Tammy Hoffman) would like to congratulate the Class of 2025 and extend our deepest thanks to all the donors that made this year’s fundraising drive a success.
The Association was established in 1994 and awarded one scholarship to a member of the Class of 1995. 30 years later, the scholarships awarded tonight will bring the total number of recipients to 620 totaling $310,000.00.
This amazing accomplishment is only possible by the generous contributions from many individuals, businesses and organizations in our community who believe in these students seated before us today.
The scholarships are awarded on the basis of a completed application, written essay, scholastic achievement, participation in school activities, level of community service and character. Please note that several of the scholarships are named after a business, organization, or in memory of a loved one. All of the scholarships awarded today are under the jurisdiction of the Peotone Community Scholarship Association.
