Peotone High School Announcements – April 17, 2018


Attention Juniors and Seniors: Prom tickets will be on sale during lunch periods thru April 20 for $60. Please see Mrs. Suarez or Billy Robinson for any questions. 


Post Prom sign up will be during lunches on Friday. That is the last day for sign ups.


Deadlines for summer school are fast approaching. Lincolnway’s deadline is April 27 and Bradley Bourbonnais’s is May 11. You must receive prior approval and transportation is on your own. See Mr. Church in the guidance office for more information or questions.


A Rep. from Monmouth College will be in guidance on April 20 at 11:10. Please sign up in Guidance one day in advance.


The FFA Banquet has been changed to SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2018, at 4 p.m.  Set-up will begin around 2 p.m. 


Senior boys planning on attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, there is a scholarship available. Balanced Man Scholarships are being offered to incoming male students who have excelled in the areas of scholarship. Leadership, athletics, and community service during their high school careers. The application can be found on the Guidance Department, Scholarship page. Deadline is May 1.

Shoup Manufacturing of Kankakee is seeking 2018 graduating seniors, who are interested in a career, rather than college, following graduation. They will be hosting their 2nd Annual Senior Day on Saturday, May 5th and are extending the invitation to all area high school seniors. This event is designed to inform interested seniors of the opportunities at Shoup Manufacturing, speak with current employees, and ask any questions. After a brief presentation, interested students can complete an employment application.


V & L Heating is looking for student graduates who are interested in their work placement program. Contact Mr. Frankewicz at 815-469-8323.


Presence Kankakee Regional Volunteer Services are looking for volunteers for their Spirit of Teen mentoring program. See main office or guidance for more info.
