Good Morning PHS Students and Staff!

 

Any freshman who participated in the class fundraiser can pick up their candles in

Mr. Welsh's Room #205 anytime this week.

 

Attention Junior Class:

 

Please continue to sell throughout the next couple of weeks as well as over the Thanksgiving break!

Orders are due Tuesday the 28th. Orders can be turned in to the office or Mrs. Suarez in Room 216

before or after school! Please listen to the announcements for order pick ups!

The two top sellers will receive one free prom ticket! All of the profits go towards prom to benefit the students!

Attention all returning Scholastic Bowl Team Members:

 

We will have an organizational meeting on Tuesday, November 14 in the PHS Media Center at 3:30.  

The meeting should last approximately a 1/2 hour.

 

Anyone new to the activity and interested in participating is also invited to attend.  

If you are unable to attend or have questions, please see Mrs. Andriano or Mr. Knapp.

 

Yearbooks are on sale during lunches November 27th through December 1st.

 

The October edition of the Devil’s Advocate, Our school’s newspaper, will be set up in the commons

during lunch. Feel free to read all about it! Also yearbooks are on sale during lunches November 27th

through December 1st!

 

Jostens will meet with the sophomore class on Weds., Nov. 15th @ the beginning of the school day

for class ring information.

 

The Book Club will meet this Friday at 7:30 AM in the media center. We will discuss A Monster Calls,

and the next book will be announced. Also, all members are invited to watch the movie A Monster

Calls on Monday, November 20 at 3:30 at the Peotone Public Library.

 

High School Speech Team is starting up! Any students  involved with Speech Club at PJHS,

Mrs. DeGraaf is sending you an invitation to the informational meeting on Wednesday,

November 15th at 7:45 a.m. in the media center. At that time, she will share the dates of the events,

available practice times, and information about the IHSA speech categories.



The next meeting of the Gay Straight Alliance will be Wednesday at 7:55 in the music room.

 

There will be a PTO Pancake Breakfast here at the High School on December 9th.

Volunteers are needed please sign up in the office.



If you missed out on the Winter Code of Conduct Meeting, please make an appointment

in the office to watch the concussion video. Also, a  parent must come in and watch the

video for athletes to be able to participate in their winter sport.

 

Tickets for the fall play, Alice in Wonderland, will be pre-sold during lunches this week

(November 13-17). The cost is only $7 for students.

 

Be Sure to check out the Fall Play this weekend on Friday & Saturday

@ 7pm or Sunday @ 2pm. You don’t want to miss it!

AT A DINNER FOR DISABLED VETERANS FROM OUR AREA. THE EVENT WILL BE THURSDAY,

NOVEMBER 16TH FROM 3:30PM UNTIL 6:30PM AT THE PEOTONE AMERICAN LEGION.

Any student enrolled in the JJC Head Start on College Course second semester needs to

turn in their registration form and money to Ms. Schultz by friday, Dec. 1st.

 

Attention College bound Seniors: Now is the time to be completing your 2018 -2019

Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You can access the application at

www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is highly recommended that you complete this application
