  PHS Announcements – Monday, 9/18/17

There will be a Guy Poms meeting on Tuesday, September 19th at 8AM in Mrs. Blamble’s room. If you can’t make it please see Mrs. Blamble in room 149.

The PHS Student Council would like to invite your club, organization, or business to participate in this year’s Homecoming parade.The theme of this year’s Homecoming is Twisted Tales (Grimms Fairy Tales).

The parade will be Friday, October 6th at 4:00 p.m.if you will be participating in the parade, please contact Billy Robinson, Student Council Member or Mrs. Murray, Student Council Advisor  no later than October 1st.

Let’s Tackle Cancer T-Shirt Order Forms are available in the office. Orders and Money are due Tues. 9/26.

Auditions for the PHS Show Choir will be Wednesday, September 27 at 3:30 in the auditorium. You must pick up a packet outside the music office in order to audition. See Miss McKay with any questions.

Any Junior or Senior interested in taking the Free Military ASVAB Test at PHS on Tuesday, November 14th must submit the registration form to the Guidance Office by Wednesday, November 1st. Please see your counselor for more information.

 United Way  Mobile Food Pantry is looking for Volunteers to help at St. Pauls Church in Peotone on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 1:15-4:15pm. If  interested see Mrs. Murray in the Guidance Dept.

 The PHS Volleyball Teams invite you to their games on Tuesday, September 19, vs. Seneca (5/6/7 p.m.) where they honor past team member, Lisa Panici (Class of 2010).  The volleyball team chooses a fundraiser each year and this year they are collecting school supplies for children in the Houston area who recently were displaced by Hurricane Harvey. You may also make a donation to provide supplies.

 Attention students: Kankakee Community College is hosting a free college fair on Wednesday, September 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. College admission representatives from over 80 schools will be available to answer questions and provide materials about their schools. Students and their families are welcome to attend.

September is Suicide Awareness Month. On Sat. Sept. 23 the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is hosting the Out of the Darkness Kankakee Walk and Fundraiser at the KCC pavilion from 1:30-3:30 pm.
