 PHS Announcements – Monday 9/11/17

 Good Morning PHS Students and Staff!

 Attn: Seniors

The following colleges will be visiting PHS.  Sign up in Guidance for a pass to meet with the representatives.

Southern Illinois University – Carbondale September 11 at 11:10

Monmouth College September 13 at 1:30


Joliet Junior College representative will be at PHS during lunch hours on Tuesday, September 12.

 There will be a Wrestling Meeting in the Auxillary Gym on Wednesday @ 8:00a.m..

 The football team defeated Reed-Custer Friday 45-7.  Chandler Gartner ran for 233 yards and 4 TD's and became Peotone's all time leading rusher with 2,820 yards.  Dillon Buege also ran for 188 yards and 2 scores.

 This Friday, the Blue Devils take on the Wilmington Wildcats and their 48 game I-8 small conference winning streak.  Please come out and support our Blue Devils this Friday night.

 Also, please take some time to vote for Chandler Gartner as the top performer of the week by the Herald News.  You can vote until 9:30 AM tomorrow.  To vote, visit the school’s facebook page or website for the link.  You can vote as many times as you want so lets show him our support.   

The school district is looking to hire a few students willing to do some weed trimming at the four schools in town. Students must be at least 16 years old, have a driver's license and be able to use a gas powered weed trimmer. The work will not be daily and hours can be flexible. Please see Mrs. Bean in the main office for an application.

 Orders for Senior shirts will  be taken From Monday,; September 11th to Thursday; September 14th during A & B  lunch or to Mrs. Riemann in room 202.

 Attention all Male Dancers! Guy Poms sign ups are in the main office for homecoming week! Mandatory meeting will be September 19th at 8AM in Mrs. Blamble's room. See Mrs. Blamble with any questions!

 Picture Day for grade 9-11 is Sept. 13 in the morning. Please stop in the office if you did not receive a form.

 Deadline to order a Homecoming Tee Shirt is 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13.

September is Suicide Awareness Month. On Sat. Sept. 23 the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is hosting the Out of the Darkness Kankakee Walk and Fundraiser at the KCC pavilion from 1:30-3:30 pm. Registration is available online. You can walk as an individual, join a team or start your own team. More information and brochures are available in the main office.
