     PHS Announcements – Thursday  9/7/17

 Good Morning PHS Students and Staff!

 The first PHS book club meeting is Friday, September 8 at 7:30 AM in the media center. We will share thoughts on our summer reading books and the first book of the year will be announced. All are welcome!

 Any student who is interested in being a library helper this year should sign up with Mrs. Schubbe by September 8.

 The school district is looking to hire a few students willing to do some weed trimming at the four schools in town. Students must be at least 16 years old, have a driver's license and be able to use a gas powered weed trimmer. The work will not be daily and hours can be flexible. Please see Mrs. Bean in the main office for an application.

 Orders for Senior shirts will  be taken From Friday; September 8th to Thursday; September 14th during A & B  lunch or to Mrs. Riemann in room 202.

 Attention all Male Dancers! Guy Poms sign ups are in the main office for homecoming week! Mandatory meeting will be September 19th at 8AM in Mrs. Blamble's room. See Mrs. Blamble with any questions!

 Senior pictures are Today, Sept. 7  in the media center from 3-7pm.

Picture Day for grade 9-11 is Sept. 13 in the morning.

 Money and forms for Powder Puff, Mighty Muscles and HomeComing  Shirts will be taken during lunches today and before school on Friday. All forms and money are due on Friday.. See Mrs. Murray in guidance for questions.

 

On Friday, September 8th all seniors are scheduled to report to the first floor computer lab during their assigned period. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the period and seniors should bring a pen. If you have any questions, please see your counselor.

 September is Suicide Awareness Month. On Sat. Sept. 23 the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is hosting the Out of the Darkness Kankakee Walk and Fundraiser at the KCC pavilion from 1:30-3:30 pm. Registration is available online. You can walk as an individual, join a team or start your own team. More information and brochures are available in the main office.

 Anyone interested in joining Dungeons & Dragons club, know that the sign-up sheet will be posted until Today  on the corkboard on the second floor between rooms 214 and 215.. For  Any questions talk to Carter McCall for details.
